Play as a colonist on The Northern Frontier, trading what you can hunt, fish and mine at shops, or assume the role of a native and craft everything you need. Either way, you will be fighting hunger and the cold, but the most dangerous thing you will face will be other players…
You begin New World life in the safety of a camp which is called James Bay. There is a general store, where you can trade items, a bank to store stuff and a barbershop, where you can alter your appearance.
Outside camp is the wild frontier, where other players can attack you. You can buy a bow, arrows and a hunting knife to catch rabbits and deer, then sell their skins and meat, or chop trees with an axe and sell the logs.
Buy a fishing pole from the shack so you can catch fish. Craft a campfire to cook your meat and fish and top up your hunger level. You can also craft torches and a blacksmith’s station to make even more items.

Heavy Metal
Try to carry too much and you will become overloaded, slowing the pace of your movement. Take note of the space (SP) items take up and buy bigger backpacks to raise your weight limit and allow you to hold more loot.
Run for Cover
On the frontier, moving quickly can be the difference between life and death, especially if you are being chased down by other players. You will walk slower on the snow, so stick to the paths when you need to reach safety fast.
Bear Arms
Remember you always need ammo for your guns and bow, which costs money and also adds weight to your packs. Guns also take a long time to reload after each shot, so take aim carefully and time reloads cleverly.
Power in Numbers
There are many player factions that you can join. Check their description so you understand what they are about. Some factions pride themselves on being unruly outlaws, while others love to cooperate for the good of the colony.
The Northern Frontier quickly became a competitive place. Factions are still battling to own areas of the map and a cool gaming culture of its own has settled in. We hope developer FlippinBLEEP continues to wow us with his releases.
